I wear a single sock without any additional braces. Even the laces are the best I've seen in a while. The ankle collar and tongue are well padded and plush. Materials - The Warp upper is super supportive and breathable. Here's a quick rundown on the highlights on the comfort side of things: The shoes are also fairly stable, much more so than the 8/9s, although they're still probably not for you if you're very prone to ankle spraining. Was a bit unsure of the shape, especially with the toes sitting so high, but I personally don't notice it at all while playing, and the outsole curvature makes the heel toe transition really nice during my approach. The outsole shape is a bit unorthodox for a court shoe, with a fairly aggressive outsole curvature. And the Curry 10s are by far the most comfortable court shoes I've used. My wide foot profile is pretty often an issue with finding comfortable shoes, especially with Mizuno and Asics both running rather snug, but my flat feet are a far bigger problem. My foot shape is a tad wide and very flat. Although it should be noted that performance on dust is better on these than the 8/9s. Dust sticks to them but it's fairly easy to wipe them off. *** These shoes perform far worse on dust- small amounts of dust isn't too bad, but at a certain point, these become ice skates. There's a lot of doubt on the durability of the Flow outsole, but it should hold up fine indoors. Makes adjusting to sets on my penultimate almost effortless. On a clean court, this is probably the best traction in a modern shoe. Cushioning is a lot better, and feels far more responsive. Speaking of the 8/9s, Flow feels different from the previous models, not sure if it's just the stack height, but I would think it's a slightly different compound. It strikes the perfect balance between softness and responsiveness in my opinion, all while not having too high of a stack height, although it is definitely a bit higher than the 8/9s. In terms of impact protection, I found it surprisingly great, but players with different builds might find it different. For a bit of background, this shoe uses a UA Flow midsole/outsole, which acts as both the cushioning and the traction. If you just want to brag about something or rant, look for fellow players, etc, use this flair.įor some background: I play OH/Setter, 5'7, 170lbīeen seeing some pretty mixed opinions on the shoe, so I wasn't sure if I should go for it, but I got the opportunity to purchase it new for ~50% off, so I took the risk.
